Synopsis
(Spoiler Light)
The story follows Soo Ah, a woman who has been able to see ghosts since she was a child. Although she tries to live a normal life, the ability weighs heavily on her. On her 25th birthday, she plans a short trip with her boyfriend Hyun Woo and her friend Yoon Mi.
A tragic accident takes Soo Ah’s life. After her death, the peace that her loved ones expect never arrives. Her spirit returns with a desire for vengeance, and the haunting begins. Hyun Woo and Yoon Mi soon realize that Soo Ah’s death is not the end of the story but the beginning of something darker.
The introduction of Anuat, the exorcist, adds another dimension. His role is to uncover the truth behind the haunting and confront the spirit before the vengeance spirals out of control.
The film blends ghost story elements with themes of trauma, betrayal, and unresolved emotional wounds.
Personal Analysis and Impressions
Emotional Horror at Its Core
What stands out the most is how the story binds the horror to emotion. Soo Ah’s suffering and the circumstances surrounding her death give meaning to the terror that follows. The haunting does not feel random. It grows out of grief, betrayal, and unfinished pain. This gives the film a psychological weight that strengthens the supernatural aspect.
Atmosphere and Cinematic Style
The production design and visual tone play a major role. The film uses dim lighting, stillness, and tight framing to create a sense of discomfort. Rather than bombarding viewers with loud scare scenes, it builds an uneasy atmosphere that makes each quiet moment feel threatening.
The short runtime works to its advantage. The film keeps moving and stays focused on the central conflict without unnecessary filler.
